GERARD J. “JERRY” LE CARDI
AGE: 77 FAIR HAVEN
Gerard J. “Jerry” LeCardi, 77, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Jerry was born in Richmond, Staten Island, N.Y. to Celestine and Elizabeth Sanicola LeCardi. He resided in Concord, S.I. before moving to Fair Haven 37 years ago. He was employed as a teacher at McKee Vocational High School in New York City, retiring after 25 years of service.
Jerry was a communicant of Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven. He was a volunteer member with the Fair Haven Fire Company #1. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and you could always find him working on a project around the house. He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Mary J. Caggiano LeCardi; and his son, James LeCardi. Surviving are his son, Ronald LeCardi of Monmouth Beach; three sisters, Lois Swanda of Concord, Staten Island, Marilyn Finnerty of Manahawkin, and Arlene Clair of Staten Island; three grandchildren, Marissa, James, and Michael LeCardi and their mother, Donna LeCardi, all of Fair Haven.
