"MARGIE" PRYOR, 72, of LONG BRANCH, passed
away Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Chapin Hill, Red Bank. Margie was born
in Red Bank and had previously lived in Fair Haven before moving
to Long Branch 24 years ago. Margie worked for MOCEANS of Long
Branch, which is an advocacy group for the disabled. Margie was
a communicant of the Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven, and a
member of P.O.W.E.R., "People on Wheels for Education and
Rehabilitation", where she held a variety of offices. She
was an auxiliary member of the Fair Haven Fire Department and
volunteered at the Fair Haven Firemen's Fair for many years. She
was also a member of the W.W.D. "Women With Disabilities."
Margie was predeceased by her parents,
Luke and Mary Beckett Pryor; and her sister, Evelyn Lintott. Surviving
are her sister, Mary Ellen Connor of Blackville, S.C.; 12 nieces
and nephews; and 25 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will take place
from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside
Ave., Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at
10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Interment
will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in Margie's name to P.O.W.E.R. "People
on Wheels for Education and Rehabilitation" at 384 Second
Ave., Apt. 2A, Long Branch, NJ 07740. Letters of condolence may
