Mary Ellen Pryor Connor AGE: 78 • Barnwell, S.C.

Mary Ellen Pryor ConnorMrs. Mary Ellen Pryor Connor, 78, widow of John Joseph Connor passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at University Hospital, Augusta GA. Mrs. Connor was born on Dec. 4, 1933 in Red Bank, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Luke and Mary Beckett Pryor. She was predeceased by two sisters, Margie Pryor and Evelyn Lantott.

She was a special needs teacher's aide at Guinyard-Butler Middle School in Barnwell District 45. She was an active member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and president of the Wildwood Garden Club. She was a life member of the Fair Haven Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary, Fair Haven NJ. Survivors include her son, Joseph L. (Christine) Connor of Neptune; daughters, Mary Beth (Wendy) Gibson of Barnwell SC, Mickey (Jon) Martin of Statesboro GA, Joan (Kevin) Wood of Virginia Beach VA, Barbara (Tom) Halligan of Quaker Town PA, Evelyn (Tom) Kelly of Long Branch, Susan McDaniel of Long Branch, and Sister Judith Connor of Pittsburgh PA; 20 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church with Father James Dubrouillet officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Holy Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Friday at Mole Funeral Home and the visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, Sept. 28 at the funeral home.
