A. MC GUIRE
AGE: 81 FAIR HAVEN
Ethel A. McGuire, 81, of Fair
Haven, was born Sept. 13,
1927 to Olga Anlauf and Karl
Rank and passed away Sunday,
Nov. 23. She graduated from
Union High School, Union,
after which she attended Monmouth
Memorial Hospital School of
Nursing, where she graduated
in 1948, and Monmouth College,
to become a registered nurse.
She worked at Riverview Medical
Center, Red Bank, for over
27 years before retiring in
1992. She was a member of
the Fair Haven Seniors, serving
as sunshine chairwoman and
the Chapel Beach Club in Sea
Bright. She was a member of
the First Presbyterian Church
at Red Bank-Tower Hill for
over 50 years and the Fair
Haven Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary
for over 25 years, more recently
serving as financial secretary.
Ethel was predeceased by her
husband, Martin S., in 1997.
She is survived by her son,
Patrick McGuire and his wife
Patty of Fair Haven; a daughter,
Kathleen Matejczyk and her
husband Peter of Keyport;
five grandchildren, Kim Johnson,
Kristina Brickle, Nicholas
Matejczyk, and Marisa and
Rebecca McGuire; five great-grandchildren,
Dylan and Danielle Johnson,
Isabelle, Luke and Paige Brickle;
a sister-in-law, Muriel Kantor
of Texas; and brother-in-law,
Peter McGuire of Pennsylvania.
There will be no visitation.
There will be a memorial service
at 10 a.m. Saturday at the
First Presbyterian Church
at Red Bank-Tower Hill Chapel,
255 Harding Road, Red Bank.
In lieu of flowers, donations
may be given to the church
or the Fair Haven Volunteer
Fire Department, River Road,
Fair Haven, NJ 07704. Thompson
Memorial Home, Red Bank, is
in charge of arrangements.
