Fair Haven Firemen’s Fair
The Fair Haven Firemen’s Fair is one of the most iconic summer events in New Jersey, and the largest firemen’s fair in the state, second only to the State Fair in size! Each year in the last week of august, the firehouse grounds are completely transformed into a vibrant festival of lights, rides, food, games, and family fun that draws thousands from across the region.
From high-flying thrills like the Zipper, Rainbow, Wipeout, and our towering Ferris Wheel, to classic favorites like the merry-go-round, train ride, and kiddie swings, there’s something for every age.
And of course, no visit is complete without a ride on a real fire truck, a crowd favorite where kids climb aboard one of our active pumpers and cruise through Fair Haven with lights flashing and sirens wailing. It’s a memory they’ll never forget.
As our primary fundraiser of the year, every aspect of the fair is run by volunteers of the Fair Haven Fire Department and its supporting organizations. That means no outside vendors, food trucks, or entertainment, just our community, supporting our community. All proceeds go directly toward maintaining equipment, training, and operations to keep Fair Haven safe.

Volunteer at the Fair!
Each year, the Fair Haven Firemen’s Fair brings together our entire community, and it wouldn’t be possible without the incredible volunteers who make it happen! We offer opportunities for kids, teens, and adults to lend a hand, have fun, and be part of something special.
- Younger kids can help out in the First Aid dining room bussing tables, washing dishes, or assist with morning food prep.
- Teens looking to earn community service hours can volunteer in the game booths or at the Outback, where we serve hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas, and more.
- Adults are invited and needed to join the action, too, working the game booths and helping to keep the fair running smoothly.
