Viewing this Thursday, October 17th, 10-11am at First United Methodist Church in Freehold, with a service immediately to follow, then burial at Fairview Cemetery. Obituary of Barbara L. Malinconico
Barbara L. Malinconico, 91, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was born in Neptune, raised in Freehold, and had lived in Fair Haven before settling here in 1983. As a woman of strong faith, Barbara was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Freehold. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fair Haven Fire Department. Barbara was also a past president of Silvermead Community Club. She worked as an LPN for Riverview Hospital in Red Bank as well as at The Manor in Freehold Township. Barbara’s greatest treasure was her family and she loved nothing more than being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Melvin “Pat” Halleran; her second husband, Tony Malinconico; brother, Louis Lippincott; and sisters, June Whalen and Diane Lippincott. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Gayle Trulli and her husband, David of Freehold and Michael Halleran and his wife, Susan of Cape Coral, FL; six grandchildren, Lauren Ciancia and her husband, Tom, Michael Trulli and his wife, Vanessa, Cara Trulli and her Fiance, Julian Korduba, Sean Halleran and his wife, Jessica, Kevin Halleran and his wife, Alicia and Heather Halleran and her fiancé, Nick Diem; and great grandchildren, Leo, Theo, Taylor, Carly and twins, Harper and Nolan.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the First United Methodist Church of Freehold, 91 West Main Street on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery, Highway 35 and Oak Hill Road, Red Bank.
