Fair Haven – So much of the life of Robert Donald Frank – known to many as Don, or Donny – was lived in serving others. George Edward Chandler Jr., 92, passed away on Jan. 22 at NJ Fireman’s Home in Boonton. He was born May 19, 1923 in Fair Haven, where he lived for most of his life. He graduated from Rumson Fair Haven High School where he participated in track and football. George served our country in the Navy as Petty Officer Electricians Mate during World War II. Thomas A. Vetterl, 93, of Tequesta, FL, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2015. Mr. Vetterl was born in Paterson, NJ. He spent most of his life in Red Bank and Fair Haven, NJ before moving permanently to Florida. Mr. Vetterl was a member of the Church of Nativity, in Fair Haven and St. Jude Catholic Church in Tequesta.
