FHFD Volunteerism Scholarship Winner – Kevin Medrow

One minute, helping out as a kid in the dining room and Outback at the Firemans Fair, the next, receiving the FHFD Volunteerism Scholarship ($4,000) at last night’s Senior Awards Ceremony! Congratulations to Kevin Medrow, RFH ‘24, former FHFD cadet, Eagle Scout and son of 2021 First Aid Captain Nancy Medrow. Kevin will be a student athlete studying Chemistry at the Stevens Institute of Technology and competing with the Track/Cross Country team! Congratulations!

Welcome to our two newest members who were sworn in last night at the June monthly meeting! Nicolette Kuras, RFH ‘19 will be joining the First Aid Squad and Bryan Graye is joining as a firefighter. Nicolette and Bryan each work as healthcare providers and we thank them for stepping up to volunteer!

Welcome to Vaughn Lynch and Ana Anttonen

Welcome to Vaughn Lynch and Ana Anttonen, our two newest members, who were sworn in Monday night at FHFD’s monthly meeting. Vaughn, who is a ’23 graduate of RFH, is joining as an active firefighter and without missing a beat will be starting his 3 month Fire Fighter I course at the fire academy next week. Welcome Bella Bulhoes

Meet Bella Bulhoes, the Fire Company’s newest First Aider! Bella was sworn in tonight at our monthly meeting – she is an EMT who not only lifeguards with Sea Bright Ocean Rescue, but also serves as a member of the Middletown EMS Squad. By day she is a Kindergarten teacher in Neptune City.

Learn CPR

Back by popular demand! The Fair Haven First Aid Squad is pleased to offer a class to our community on choking emergencies and CPR. The class will be led by American Heart Associationn certified CPR instructors and Squad Training Committee. The evening will inlclude some lecture, examples and most importantly, hands on practice with our training “dummies”. We are limiting the class size to 30.
