The Fair Haven Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of 30 year member, three time Fire Police President, Fire Police Captain (1992) and Life Member, Christian Bertell.
A Memorial Gathering will take place at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, from 9:30 to 11:30 am on Saturday December 22nd with a Fire Company memorial service at 11:00 AM. Trucks leave firehouse at 10:45 am.

Christian Bertell, Jr. of Fair Haven
Christian Bertell, Jr. 88, passed away on Sat. December 15th at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.
He was born to the late Christian and Selma Bertell of Fair Haven and was a lifelong Rumson and Fair Haven resident. Christian worked as a self-employed electrician, Chris’ Electric.
Christian was a 30 year member of the Fair Haven Fire Department where he was life member of the Fire Police, serving as their President numerous times and was an ex-captain. He was also a Veteran of the US Coast Guard, a member of the Masons and a lover of both Dalmatians and antique cars.
Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Frieda “Ruth” (Dudley) Bertell, and his cousin, Vincent Domidion of Morganville.
A Memorial Gathering will take place at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701 from 9:30 to 11:30AM on Saturday December 22nd with a Fire Company memorial service at 11:00 AM.
