Harold ‘Hap” Albert

The Fire Company regrets to announce the passing of 32 year member and Life member of the Fire Police, Harold ‘Hap” Albert. Services will be Thursday, October 5th from 10am to 1pm at John E Day Funeral Home in Red Bank, with Fire Services at 12:30. We will miss Hap, one of the nicest and dedicated Fire Company members we have had the honor to know.

Harold Albert

July 15, 1928 ~ September 27, 2023 (age 95)
Harold was a lifelong resident of Fair Haven, where he attended and graduated from the Rumson-Fair Haven school systems. He worked many years for the Federal Government at the Fort Monmouth military installation, Ft. Monmouth, NJ.Harold was known for doing things by the book, in order. He was a pillar of his community, serving as a Volunteer Fire Police for the Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Company for 32 years. His hobbies were bowling, cooking his favorite chicken dishes, woodwork and was an avid football fan, dedicated to the New York Jets.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Carolyn Boyd-Albert, his late wife, Jeanette Albert, brothers, James and Larry Albert, sisters, Gertrude Albert-Williams (Thomas), and Shirley Albert-Parker (James).

He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Harold Reed Albert (Cheryl), grandsons, Aaron Reed Albert, Myles Anthony Albert and Christopher George Albert, all of Fair Haven. A sister-in-law, Betty Albert of Fair Haven, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
