Jean F. Crozier, 87, of Tinton Falls, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011. A New Jersey native, Jean lived in Fair Haven for over fifty years, before moving to Tinton Falls ten years ago. She was a former communicant of Christ Church United Methodist, Fair Haven and attended Protestant services in Seabrook Village. Jean was very involved in both churches. Jean had the voice of an angel and was a much sought after soloist and a founding member of the Monmouth Civic Chorus; as well as other choruses in the Monmouth County area. Like her father, she was also a talented jewelry maker and designed her own pieces, cutting and polishing semi-precious stones and doing her own silver work. Her beaded necklace and earring sets are treasured by all who wear them.
Jean was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Wesley A. Crozier, who died in 2000, and her only son, Britt Crozier, who died in 2006. She is survived by her four daughters, Patricia Gettis and husband, Jim, of Barnard, VT, Catherine Crozier of Reston, VA, Carol Monsma and husband, Cal, of Edmond, OK, and Edith Marass and husband, Bob, of Rumson, NJ, as well as Britt’s surviving wife, Dalila, of Clifton, NJ. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26th, 11:00 AM until the service begins at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. A memorial service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held at Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls at a date and time yet to be determined.
