Leon Lamberson, Jr.

Fair Haven Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of brother firefighter, Leon “Peanut” Lamberson.  Leon served the Fire Department for 54 years.

Leon Lamberson, 89, of Fair Haven, NJ passed away on Friday May, 22,2020 at Jersey Shore Medical Center due to COVID-19.

Leon was born on August 5, 1930 and grew up in the family home on Fair Haven Road.  He served four years in the U.S. Navy being Honorably Discharged in 1955.  He married the love of his life Arminda “Lynn” Lamberson (nee Malinconico) on February 1, 1958.  Leon worked as a driver for Shore Point Distributors for over 40 years before retiring.  Leon was also a proud member of the Fair Haven Fire Department for 54 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Helen Lamberson of Fair Haven, his devoted wife Arminda “Lynn” Lamberson in 2007, his eldest daughter Regina Allison in 2016, and his furry little sidekick Bambi.

Leon is survived by his loving daughter Michele Lamberson, ‘adopted’ daughter Nancy Baron both of Laurence Harbor and grandsons, Brian Allison and Justin Allison both of Fair Haven.
