Alice (Nanny) Matthews, 93, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, in her home at Brighton Gardens in Boca Raton, Fla.
She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband, Robert, in 2004. Alice is survived by her sons, Thomas and Robert; daughter, Karen; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild due in March.
Before moving to Florida, Alice lived most of her life in Fair Haven, NJ where she and her husband, Robert raised their children and served the community. At her passing, Alice was the oldest living member of the Fair Haven Ladies Auxiliary, where she was a member for 65 years. She will live on in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Fair Haven Fire House.
