The Fair Haven Fire Company is disappointed to announce the cancellation of the 2021 Car Show usually held annually in mid-October. The annual Car Show helps support the FHFC Fire Police. We look forward to seeing you in 2022!
2019 Fall Car Show
The FHFD Auxiliary and Fire Police present the 20th Annual Fall Car Show Sunday October 6, 2019 between 9AM and 3PM at the Fair Haven Fire House, River Road and Battin Road, Fair Haven. Rain date Sunday October 13, 2019. Free admission and open to the general public. Fire Police History
During the latter part of the 19th Century, New Jersey legislators realized a vital need to help local police, marshals, and peace officers. They were especially concerned about areas in the state where police protection was woefully inadequate and provided by perhaps only one enforcement officer. Fire Police Duties
Fire Police Duties The Fair Haven Fire Police are volunteers who are members of the Fair Haven Fire Department who, after attending training classes, have been certified by the State of New Jersey, Department of Consumer Affairs, Division of Fire Safety. The primary duties of a Fire Policeman are: Directing, monitoring, and controlling the flow of traffic at fires, automobile accidents and other emergencies.
