FHFAS History
A group of volunteers organized on March 25, 1930 as the Fair Haven Fire Department Emergency First Aid Squad. Their mission was to provide aid in times of an emergency. On Monday, May 19, 1930 by vote of the membership, the name was changed to “Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Department Emergency Corps.” The Corps was incorporated January 1, 1932 under the fire company’s charter and elected was the first president, Thomas Cleary and the first Captain, Edward Little. First Aid Squad Information
Monmouth County EMS Squad 13-21 The Fair Haven First Aid Squad is an all-volunteer unit of the Fair Haven Fire Company that provides around-the-clock emergency medical services, land and water rescue and transportation for the residents of Fair Haven. Even though we have our own officers, training requirements, and equipment, we are fully integrated into the Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Company No. 1.
