Welcome to Vaughn Lynch and Ana Anttonen, our two newest members, who were sworn in Monday night at FHFD’s monthly meeting.
Vaughn, who is a ’23 graduate of RFH, is joining as an active firefighter and without missing a beat will be starting his 3 month Fire Fighter I course at the fire academy next week.
Ana is joining the Fire Police – their job is to protect volunteers and residents at emergency scenes. She told the Fire Company that she wants her children to learn and see first hand the importance of service and volunteering in the town she grew up in. Her family walks the talk: Her cousin, Chad Murphy, is a sergeant with the Sea Bright Police Department and also serves as the Chief of the Sea Bright Fire Rescue department. Her brother, Ryan Murphy, is a retired US Army Captain who served in Afghanistan. And when the kids get a little older, we’ll most likely be seeing her husband Chuck join as a firefighter! Their son, Jack, proudly watched his Mom get sworn in, wearing his firetruck pajamas, of course.
