Welcome to FHFD’s two newest members – sworn in at the October 3rd meeting – Michael Crockett (RFH ’20), joining as an Active Firefighter and John Doonan, Social Member! Thank you for volunteering! (Some of you may recognize John from this year’s Fair, where he could be found almost every Fair night helping out in a game booth!)

Volunteering at the Fair is fun!  Help out in the Outback or in a Game Booth.  Please look through the requirements, pick your day(s) and submit the form. You’ll get an email confirmation and hear back from Fair Personnel Chairman Rich Brister.  Thank you! Outback Requirements Children 15 years old and younger are not allowed in the Outback. John P. “Smokey” Felsmann

John P. “Smokey” Felsmann John P. “Smokey” Felsmann passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on August 5, 2022. John was a life-long resident of Fair Haven, a community he was proud to serve for 59 years. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic in 1960 and served in the Coast Guard from 1963-1968. He retired from his position with the Red Bank Post Office in 1997. In 1965, John was married to Trudy Boehme of Little Silver and the couple [click for more]
